This book spread was a collaborative assignment done with a partner from my graphic design class. The spread formed part of a book titled Design Is. My partner and I decided to pursue “(re)purposeful” as our theme, and divided the writing. I did an illustration for the spread in pen and watercolor that was inspired by my nephew and his creativity in pretend play. We intended for the design to be reminiscent of a children’s storybook.
